Reycle Bin Carrier

Best $3.00 investment! Top is for plastic and bottom is for paper.

My first trip to the Grocery Store using my own bags!

We have been recycling for a few years now. Our area even gives us our own recycling bins and for $3.00 ( garage sale not craigs list) I bought a recycling bin holder, which has been wonderful. Now we can roll the bins to the curb instead of carrying them. Today I went to the local grocery store and brought my own bags and honestly I did not think everything would fit. Surprise! All my items fit into two carry bags. I have at least 6 of these type bags in the closet so I did not need to buy any from the store. I know it is a small act, but it makes me feel like I am doing something for our environment, Lord knows we have neglected it for the last several years.

If you are not recycling I encourage you to do so.

Oh no! The woman is on to me!

CAT DIARY
Day 983 of my captivity.
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.
They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.
Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.
The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. Bastards! There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dogs receives special privileges. They are regularly released – and seem to be more than willing to return. They are obviously retarded.

If you know me then.........

Alabama Bound

Wow! I don't think I have ever had so many visits from folks from the Great State of Alabama and now Mom and I are headed there ourselves. Actually every year ( for the last 3) Mom and I have gone to visit her two sisters and any other relative that we can during what has become our annual June "girls" vacation. This year we headed to Alabama to see all our kin. We had a great time. Here are just a few pictures. We missed Aunt Nell last year because she ended up in the hospital the 2nd day we were there and came home the day before we left. Hmmm...... the things some folks will do to get out of seeing their kinfolk. :0 This time she had just gotten back from China and need some R&R from her trip so we did not get to see her quiet as much and like the turkey I am, I did not get a lot of pictures of her with us.

Elishaba Visits Again!

Got a call from my cousin Elishaba. Celebrating her 5 years of being hitched so she is coming to Florida. Her and her husband Carl decided to go on a Caribbean cruise and spent the night with us before heading over to their ship at Port Canaveral. We really enjoyed the visit. It was great to see Elishaba again and this time we got to spend some time with her husband Carl. He is a great guy! Certainly deserves an award for putting up with Mason, who insisted that Carl needed to have his ears cleaned and face kissed every time he could jump into Carl's lap. Carl and Elishaba have a Jack Russell named BAMA.

So I am including a picture of him since he is such a cutie and very well behaved. Unlike two dogs that I know....................................well they aren't that bad..................I don't think. :)

New Updated Pictures of the boys

Okay, they have been home for a little while and never a dull moment with these two. We have had some adjustments. Mason ( white dog) took to training right away and is very well behaved. He is the follower of the two and lets Dixon ( yorkie-mix) be the Alpha Dog. I figured it would be this way, as Dixon was at Animal Control for 3 weeks. He was found with a identification tag so they had to call the owner and then send a certified letter before they could release him for Adoption. So he was there for three weeks and many dogs came and went from Dixon's cage. He had 6 when I first met him and Mason showed up a week later. It was during one of my visits I saw Mason and thought how sweet he looked AND NO ONE HAD PUT AN APPLICATION ON HIM. Other words his days were numbered. He had one day left, all the others in the cage had papers, but him. So that is how we ended up with sweet Mason and "2" dogs instead of 1.

Pix of my Boys and the Stars of my Blog!!

I thought I would include pix of Mason and Dixon from the day we adopted them from Orange County Animal Control. They were a mess..........boy did they stink and thier hair was sooooo long. It's Animal Control so they do not bathe any of the animals, since they are strays and lets face it the majority of the will be Euthanized.....................This is why Spay and Neuter is so important. The state of Florida Euthanizes 800,000 cats and dogs every year. So please adopt a shelter animal and make sure you have yours pets spayed or neutered. Okay enough lecture! Lets bring on the boys!
